The Academy is in the process of exploring new avenues for new
recruits from the school of Advance Level where they will be placed
at SEYPEC on 6 months work-based
experience prior beginning their Pre-Sea training Deck/Engine with
Seychelles Maritime Academy. This will be done in partnership with
Colombo International Nautical Engineering College (CINEC)

The Seychelles Maritime Academy was undergoing six days of management system auditing (ISO 9001:2008) by external auditor, Mr Pralay Kumar Bhattacharya from IRQS.
During the closing report of the audit, Mr Pralay Kumar Bhattacharya handled over the report to the Director of the
Seychelles Maritime Academy, Captain Anura Herath.
The Academy is now waiting for the confirmation of the ISO 9001:2008 certification from IRQS.
Seychelles Maritime Academy received its new Charter during an official ceremony held on the 26th August 2015.
Minister for Education Ms Macsuzy Mondon signed the Charter before
officially handing it over to the Director of the Academy, Captain Anura
Also present, during the official ceremony were Assistant Director Captain
Wilton Ernesta, Chairperson of the Board
Mr Conrad Benoiton, Vice Chairperson Mr Selby Dora, and Student Affairs
Manager Ms Veronica Bristol.
