1.1 SCOPE
This course covers the mandatory minimum basic safety training requirements for all seafarers assigned with safety or pollution prevention duties as set out by the Seychelles Maritime Safety Authority.

1.2 LEARNING Objective
On successful completion of this course, participants will acquire the necessary knowledge and understanding to:
- Comply with emergency procedures
- Take precautions to prevent pollution of the marine environment
- Observe safe working practices
- Understand orders and be understood in relation to shipboard duties
- Contribute to effective human relationships on board
- Understand and take necessary actions to control Fatigue
1.3 PURPOSE
The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the necessary knowledge, understanding to perform their relevant duties in their work place.

Total Duration = 06 hrs.
1.5 Entry Standards / Learner staTUS
This course is open for:
- Persons who are aged not less than sixteen (16) years old on the date of commencement of the course.
